AskMe.Com Jaipur Foodies Meet Up

AskMe.com touted as the ‘BAAP of all Apps’ recently organised a Bloggers meet in the Pink City. The venue Ooper lounge in C scheme offered a perfect ambience to the blogger/foodies/photographers attending the event. Such kind of events are very much common in metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai but its a fairly new concept for bloggers in Jaipur. Approximately 25 people attended this event and enjoyed the perfect Foodies evening with the fellow bloggers.

The event was well planned planned. It started with the host introducing the bloggers with AskMe’s  newly launched features like AskMe on Food, AskMe on Fashion, AskMe on Gadgets etc. The information was quite insightful that actually made me download Askme App from Google play store and see the benefit for myself. I must say that the App is easy to use and a smooth sailing in terms of searches. After this, we had an introduction round where each blogger introduced themselves and played interesting interactive games. I won a box of  chocolates in one of the games.Yayy 😀

Anil and Ramakant from Jaipur Photographers Club (JPC) then took a 45 minute workshop on Food photography.I was in particular waiting for this session and was ready with my Pentax DSLR camera. Brownie points for AskMe to get JPC members conduct the photography workshop. 🙂 Jaspal, a fellow blogger from Jaipur conducted a session on how to earn money by blogging and the future of blogging. What more could I have asked for. Food, Photography, and new tricks of the trade.

Last but not the least, I must applaud the courteous service by Ooper Lounge and the amazing food and drinks constantly being served to our tables. In short, It was a well spent evening. Looking for more such events. 🙂

20 Something

Why is 20’s so confusing ? Everybody is getting a job. Everybody is getting slim.  AND i feel I am still stuck in my old self. I really want to break away and change into newer Me. A much better version of myself. More focused. More determined.

aaahhhhh…why soooo many confusions.. I dont know what to do with my career.. Doing two things at the same time. Theater and college. Like both of them. But profession-wise no idea….

One day I feel so upbeat about things going and another day I feel as if  am good for nothing ‘Nikamma’ person on the face of this planet. I wonder is it just me or happens with everybody . I  want to learn so many things that it  scares the hell out of me that Whether ill be able to fulfill my dreams or they will just stay in the corner of my heart and mind.

Jyotsna Tiwari for India Bridal Fashion Week 25th july 2013

Jacqueline Fernandez on the ramp

ELOHIM by Jyotsna Tiwari represented fun  , light weight  , easy to wear yet high on style clothing revolving around the fun and festivities of the wedding.

Jacqueline Fernandez was the show stopper looking sensational in a well  cut black trouser and pink colored corset tunic with a slit in the middle . It had a flowy texture from the waist towards the end  with embroidery at the hemline.

She used a lot of bright colours like pinks, blues in the Indo – Western silhouettes thereby giving an international touch to her clothes. Music comprised of remixed version of ‘khoya khoya chand’, ‘imtehan ho gai intezaar ki’ and  ‘babuji dheere chalna’  which were in sync with the  ‘ÇELEBRATION’ mood of the show.

Her collection was inspired by the Nav-ratan jewellery which embraces nine color stones together in one statement piece.

Meera & Muzaffar ali for India Bridal Fashion Week 25th july 2013

Timeless creations

Kotwara  by Meera and Muzaffarali at the Indian bridal fashion week , with the theme being ‘The pearl of the orient  brought back  the ‘ old world charm’ .

Chiffon blend with velvets and brocades embellished with zardozi ,chikan techniques creating an intriguing collage of  textures. The palate ranged from  soft pastels to vibrant hues.

My favourite design was this keeping in mind The ‘Sharam’ and ‘Nazakat ‘of the bride.  Soft colors,  modern yet  so classic and elegant in its approach.

Image

Leafless short trees , bushes , back wall decorated with leaves and white flowers. The ramp walk by models had a dramatic touch to it , with models sitting on a bench, taking rounds of the pillar at the back . Hair were pulled back in a neat bun adorned with Mogra flowers. High on jewellery and tradition

The designer duo were humble during the press conference. They gave  credit’s  to their ‘karigars who are working with them for over 25 years.  From corset blouses, lehngas . sarees , anarkalis , sarees with jackets . They had a huge range to offer.  Music complimented  the ambience of the show. The entire show was just so mesmerizing. It captivated me from the very beginning

Couldn’t shop today as i have shopped a lot lately  , Also my  sister has got me a lot of stuff from Sydney , so didnt had the voice to ask for more. Though my heart ached for every piece of clothing hanging inside the store but I gracefully walked outside . 🙂
